The Citadel Effect: Corporate Execs Seek “Turnkey” Residences in Coral Gables

A new report from Financial Times details how executives from finance giant Citadel are driving intense demand for “turnkey” homes in Coral Gables. Extremely tight supply levels make finding a residence in the City Beautiful quite challenging, however. In the FT article, local real estate agents compare the “Citadel effect” in Miami’s suburbs to that of Google in Venice Beach.

“Citadel bosses moving to the Miami suburbs have been willing to spend more for ‘turnkey’ homes that are ready to move into and require no renovations,” the article states. Coral Gables is the preferred destination for these executives because of its quality of life, schools and manageable commutes – among other factors.
