A new Miami Herald report details how the Miami area will get even more snowbirds than usual this winter due to Hurricane Ian’s impact on Southwest Florida. And with the influx of snowbirds joining an already crowded rental market, area rents are expected to get even more expensive in the months ahead.
“I’ve had a pickup of people who normally go to the west coast and were worried so they’re going to the east coast,” Realtor Sheila Rojas told the Herald. Rojas noted that most of her clients are from Chicago and New York.
