On December 7, senior reporter for the South Florida Business Journal, Brian Bandell, moderated the SFBJ Breaking Ground panel discussion with panelists Henry Torres, developer of Merrick Manor and CEO of the Astor Companies; W. Allen Morris of the Allen Morris Co.; Christopher “Cristo” Brown, developer of Giralda Place; and Brent Reynolds of Nolan Partners International.
“Numbers don’t lie, and when it comes to Coral Gables real estate, the numbers look good” to Torres and the other developers.
When looking at condo sales in Coral Gables, Torres said “about 80 percent of buyers are end-users. Many of them are empty nesters. They are often older couples with single-family homes in the area who decided it’s too much work to maintain a larger house, so they prefer a condo in the city they love.”
